Cry To The Moon - Poem by Virginia Melendez

Another sleepless night
looking up to the sky,
Seeing my past
flash before my eyes.
I'll be gone soon
and that frightens me,
I won't forget the world
though it may forget me.
I silently cry my heart
out to the smiling moon
as my bittersweet tears
reflect my happiness and gloom.
