Crying Ice Poem by ERNEST CLARY

Crying Ice

Rating: 4.5

Look at the ice as it begins to melt
a tear at a time drops away
from the heat it felt
in the light of day
when the temperature falls at night
the tears make a pile
a tear at a time
in single file
as the action takes its course the drops fall
the power of gravity is its force
as thaw makes a call
as the temperature goes down no matter when
the falling tears
turn to ice again
