Crying In A River Poem by Luis Resende

Crying In A River

Rating: 5.0

Too many tears stream silently
From the eyes of a black body,
spreading down in the hard clay
to a dry and guiltless river
making stretch marks on the way
just to remember chained ages
when an innocent invisible girl
looks at the buttons out of her blouse
sending gauntness to turn into blames.
Silent river, witness of suffering affair
without asking, saying a word
about worthless lives passing by
its calm, deep, old, sad flowing view,
spreading mist up to the uncolored clouds
to purify ages and ages of sordid agreement
where crystalline, weeping and painful rain
tries patiently to mix damp liquids
when it´s waiting for the immortal tears
to turn into a strong and sharp diamond.
