Crying Yellow Poem by Lee McVicar

Crying Yellow

All our words were said in silence,
As we sat there in the glow,
Our love was all around us,
Where the night went, we don't know,

The morning sun is coming,
And with it, brings the day,
Tomorrow she will leave me, and
We both know she can't stay,

-chorus-
So I, hold her tight,
And let her know that everything will be alright,
Though troubles, come and go,
If you keep in mind, a young boy that you know,
Then you are not alone

The Sun was crying yellow,
As the morning burned the day,
A taxi waited outside,
To drive my girl away,

She jumped into the backseat,
And halfway down the street,
With sobbing eyes she jumped out,
She came running back to me,

-chorus-
So I, held her tight,
And let her know that everything will be alright,
Though troubles, come and go,
If you keep in mind, a young boy that you know,
Then you are not alone

So she, held me tight
And let me know that she had loved me all her life,
Distractions, come and go,
But love is once a lifetime, I truly hope you know
That love is once a lifetime, I'll never let you go,
'Cause love is once a lifetime, I truly hope you know,
You'll never be alone.
