Cultural Diversity: A Tool For A Progressive Democratic Governance

GHANA, GHANA, GHANA
Our motherland Ghana
The only country Africa can boast of is Ghana
The mañana of Africa's Black Star is Ghana
A nation rich in culture and pasture
It's nature reflects the creature's Caricature
Which is not horrible, dirty and scary like a Vulture

The typicality of our nationality brings Unity
Who knows? .. Nobody knows, not even "Akrobeto" knows whether our safety lies in our Variety
This diversity amidst our culture is our Reportage
About twenty five million are surviving in our Age
Over sixty ethnic groups and fifty two major Languages
There are hundreds of dialects which are to our Advantages

The cloud is just above us All
From East and south to west and North
The west didn't Care because it was against the East
No one knew we would soon lose our Peace

The human mind is meant to Wonder
We need to be free, we need to Ponder
If the country was thrown into Darkness
Nothing will grow and we will be reduced to Hardness

We need to Grow, we need to Know, we need to Love and we will rise Above
What if one person chose to Know?
What if that person chose to Grow?
What if one person's heart sought to Love?
And what if that person rose Above?

We have to relocate and locate to a better Location
We have to regenerate and generate our Generation
We have to dissociate and associate ourselves to a better Association
Why? Because…

Tribalism, Nepotism, Favoritism and Selfishness is something we must not Embrace
Nobody has been able to trace the source of this Menace
It is covering our space at a fast pace and it's a Disgrace
And I can say that's a big insult to our Faces

You wanna know more about me? Try my delicacies
I have FUFU which will make you Full
My BANKU will make you Cool
My KENKEY will make you feel Okay
And don't forget TUO ZAAFI popularly known as TZ, oh my God that's the only food that can make you remember JESUS
ABOLO will never make you feel Low
And don't our popular street dessert "Kelewele"
Which is different from "Wele"
Anytime I take this, I feel happy like a new comer in "New Wele"
Because I wouldn't sit down, I'll behave like "Adoley"
My teacher will see me and ask "Kwɛ Adoley oosha wele"?
"Madam daabi, ofainɛ mintawɔ Akweley"

We are democratic, we practice democracy
"Ɛno nti na demo kraa si"
Learn and accept my culture and I'm gonna do likewise
Indeed culture is A TOOL FOR A PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRATIC GOVERNANCE.
