Black Love

Black love is a rhythm, deep as the drum,
A beat from the soil where our ancestors come.
It's the sun on our skin, rich with melanin pride,
Two souls unbroken, standing side by side.

It's braids in her hair, waves in his crown,
A quiet kind of strength that don't back down.
It's hand in hand through struggle and grace,
A revolution written on each other's face.

Black love is a whisper in turbulent night,
"I got you, " soft spoken, yet fierce with might.
It's Sunday dinners and midnight talks,
The long walk home, and freedom walks.

It's history held in a sacred kiss,
A healing fire wrapped in bliss.
It's joy unshaken, and beauty pure,
Rooted in pain we still endure.

Black love is laughter, sweet and bold,
A legacy that can't be sold.
A song unsilenced, a vow so true—
In every shade, I see me in you.
