Curious Poem by Warrith Olawale

Curious

I close my eyes, cover my ears
Wanting to feel total nothingness
To hear all that silence has to say,
To see how darkness can illuminate a way.

I fail at every try, yet I keep trying
Wanting to understand the happenings.
To see why silence cringes at every murmur,
To know why covering ears with hands is a futile labour.
To know why the constant tussle
Between outer roar and inner peace
Like every other tussle
Causes the torment of peace.
