Curse Poem by Christian Torrejos

Curse

If days are beautiful, why am I like this,
where I'm forbidden to ever taste bliss?
Am I cursed, or simply unfortunate,
why can't I love—am I sealed by fate?

It is a question that nails my mind
Where its answers can't be defined
I love only you, why can't you distinguish?
Why are you letting my feelings to be extinguished

Yes, there is a forbidden lake to cross that line
for behind that sublime, a dark pit waits in time.
So, now I finally understand-
I will only stand in this heated sand

I want to roar and curse the universe
for every love I carry feels inverse.
I will be always that man -
who waits forever for something grand.
