Cushions Of Dreams Poem by Leaking Pen

Cushions Of Dreams

I laid to rest
My weary head
On cushions of dreams
That melt away
Daily nightmares.
I dreamt of white mares
Roaming sandy beaches
And of sand castles
Binding gentle waves.
And of white seagulls...
Free like sea breezes.
Cockles and muscles
Playing hide and seek,
Like changing moods
From rolling waves,
Foot steps in togetherness
Skip a beat then repeat
Mirroring two souls
Reflecting true love
Like the Sun to the moon
One Giving, the other receiving
Rays of love and hope
Form precious Moments
Ingrained in one lifetime
