Custody Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Custody

She got the custody
of her beautiful child.
Every weekend
were spent with her dad’s.
The rest of the days
it was just her and her beautiful girl.

There was no more noise
no yelling, no fighting.
For Christmas
her dad gave her an iPad,
her mom gave her a laptop.
Two birthdays happened ever year.

They got what they wanted
but all that they lost
were their minds.
