D.H.L.2 Poem by chris dawson

D.H.L.2

At that moment she was revolted.
A shot projected through her soul,
lodging in the pit of her stomach,
it was horrible.
She would break his spell in an instant
but for curiosity, but for intrigue,
but for him momentarily grasping the handle of her own darkness.
Before resolution had rescued
she had submitted again,
yielding sublimely to her fear.
He knew all the time what he was doing,
cause and effect,
she could see it in his eyes, and how deep it was…
his focus, his determination
to conquer, to create, to instil, to enthral,
but above all to pleasure.
She knew instinctively this path;
though never having trod it in all her thoughts and experiences.
She was his responsibility,
IT was his responsibility.
She was his charge,
and only he would be accountable.
