Daddy Left With Honors Poem by Ologunde Joshua Abiodun

Daddy Left With Honors

He left with Honor
He died at His Duty Post, serving the Lord!
My Legend...my Dad....

It was a troubled day
I got the news from my Mum that he has stopped talking
I told her to keep calm and call neighbours around....
I left what I was doing in the office and went straight to the toilet
I sat down there to take-in the news
I was confused, but I regain my stability to it's reality

He has never lie to me before
He won't sugarcoat words for you, but tell the truth
He always sing for us while mummy is cooking
He left us with many joyful memories
And he loved my sister so much
My Mum stood by my Dad throughout his years of sickness.
She cared for my Father.
My Dad always praise my Mum each time I call home.
I realize the joy of every man is to secure for himself a wife that will love you when your health goes bad...!

His prayer-bank is what am enjoying now
Am sure He's with Jesus Christ
His memories are amazing!
I didn't cry throughout his burial ceremonies.... I wanted to be strong for my Mum and Siblings. But I couldn't control my tears in the bus while leaving the town
He still remains my Hero,
I once have a Father...Now, God is my Father...!

Forever in our heart....Forever loved by me. He lived for Jesus and died at his duty-post, serving the Lord.
Hallelujah.
Till we meet again joyfully...at the feet of Jesus Christ....
Farewell Papa.
