Daddy's Little Girl Poem by Hannah Ward

Daddy's Little Girl

Rating: 5.0

it doesn't seem so long ago, that we all lived together,
when everything was perfect, i thought it'd last forever
until that day you broke my heart, and you were leaving me
daddy's little girl - now stranded by the sea

when you left, to be with her, my heart went with you too,
now forever broken, and all because of you..
you were my rock, you were my hero and my shining star,
it was you and only you that made me go so far.

you left me to sort the mess, that you alone constructed
did you have no idea, that it would to me be so destructive?
did you not care your baby girl had no father figure?
do you just think of yourself, and sit with her and snigger?

you're a heartbreaker, a self destructor, a hurter without a cause,
and yet you have always thought you shouldnt have to show remorse.
you'll never know how happy i was, before the pain,
you'll never know becuase of you i'll never have glee again.

10 years down the line, and I'M the one leaving now
maybe you'll see how it hurts, just maybe you'll see HOW.
see what its like never knowing when from me you'll hear.
but will you show some sadness? or even shed a tear?

i guess we'll see as time draws near, what action you will take,
and whether seeing me go will cause your heart to break.
'Daddy's little Girl' - will be gone now from your life.
so bye bye daddy - and thanks again for all your strife.
