Daddy's Princess Poem by Teena Nanda

Daddy's Princess

Rating: 5.0

when i came into this world,
i was embraced by my parents
and was lying
in my mom's lap curled

they were very happy
as i was theiir first child
they were thanking the almighty,
looked at me n smiled

small girls like
playing with dolls
but i loved playing cricket
with my dad n bros

when i joined school
mom packed my tiffin
with nutritious vegetables and rotis
and you would fill my pockets
with chocolates and toffees

when i was a child,
i used to say it loud
i will become a doctor
n will make u proud!

when your friend told u once
that spending so much money on a girl is useless
u said it boldly.
that i love her as much as my son
and she is my princess.

whenever i fell ill,
you had sleepless nights
you would hug me tight
and took me to the doctor
in the middle of nights.

when i tried n failed
you were the only one to hold my hand
to say
you will leave
everybody behind.
i trust you,
and i am proud of you,
my child.

now the time has changed
n so the dreams
when someone calls me doctor
i dont feel so glad
but what make me happy
is to see the shine
in the eyes of my dad!

I dont think i have achieved much
i need a lot of time
to make my dreams come true,
but i cant wait to say
PAPA, , I LOVE YOU, ,
AND I AM PROUD OF YOU! :)
