Daemon And Faerie Poem by Angel Craft

Daemon And Faerie

Dire consequences lay before the daemon of dreams
If he were caught stealing his dainty princess of wings.

The Daemon's black stripes
were hidden in light...
he took the faerie of night,
with wings of pure white...

And down the hall he dashed in a daze
Their dalliance damned, a love in need of reappraise

The dandyish daemon's smile was bright
as their life dangles on the point of a knife.
His darling dame feels too that this is right
to die together in a fit of delight.

But dawn is coming, the daemon's dreams are dashed
their true selves revealed, off comes the mask

The light shines on these creatures of night
and then even to themselves they couldn't lie
This dastardly deed just wasn't right
death to the love of tiger and butterfly.
