Daffodil - Poem by Shaun Shane

take a daffodil
and pop
the flower
and hold it
in your hand
then squeeze
and unfurl your fist
seeing only
the mangled mess

beauty is so easy
to destroy
with willful force

be careful

Beautifully expressed the cruelty in love- plucking a flower is to playing love with its freedom (Report) Reply

This is wonderful, so very insightful and of course, true - beauty is so easy to destroy. (Report) Reply
