Daffodils Poem by douglas lewis

Daffodils

Crowding beds
Of nodding heads,
Flame your petaled sun.
Flare that burning eye
Bold enough to blind
The staring gardener.
Colour meekness
You do not suffer,
Nor shadows
Strong enough to root.
