Dampness Poem by kumar varma

Dampness

Now ….. all around
As if a desert spread
And feet sinking in scorching sunlight
In the palms
A dryness…

A feel of total loss…
Whatever I touch
Feel like as if a rubber sheathe
Draped around the whole body..

The mirages
Spread in the
Vale of the eyes
Have turned to glass
And a feel of non-absorbance

Everything a colorless, bland
Concoction like venom
Running down the larynx
As a fossil, pain unfelt
A banning hue and cry in and out
Inclining towards solitude…

In this atmosphere of chaos
Tongue parched and
Dehydration
Chases ….

The moist of a
Tiny tear dropp
Fathoms deep
Still keeps me alive
A human (?)
Before you……
