Dancing Poem by Hillary Unknown

Dancing

He holds me close
As we glide across the floor
He spins me round
As we fly through the door
Out into the night
My legs take flight
Our bodies become one
As we dance to the song
My head on his chest
I know this is best
As we sway
He whispers to me “okay”
I tilt my head
And pray I’m not dead
As his lips touch mine
I wake up and find
It was just a dream
I want to scream
I close my eyes
Trying, once again, to find my lie
