Dancing Poem by Helene Hoang

Dancing

Music on, I started to dance
Enhancing, I do a spin
Then move on, I do a prance
'Sigh, when do I get a chance? '

A chance to dance with you
To be embrace by your loving arms
For our souls to finally be collide
'Sigh, when do I get a chance? '

The desire of my love
Trying to break free from my heart
I could hear it screaming, aching, crying, yearning, dying
'Sigh, when do I get a chance? '

A chance to show my parents
That I'm more than what I seem
To say: Hey, please accept me for who I am
'Sigh, when do I get a chance? '

The desire to prove myself
Just for them to be proud
Was it ever too late?
'Sigh, when do I get a chance? '

A chance to shine infront of others
To not live my whole life in fear
To not let my emotions conquer me
'Sigh, when do I get a chance? '

The desire to be free
Free from this prison I made for me
Tired of waiting for the time to see
'Sigh, when do I get a chance? '

I was hoping to catch a glance
I'm still dancing, you know
Covered in blood, sweat and tears
To myself, I wondered a bit much more
'Sigh, when do I get a chance? '
