Dancing In The Rain Of Youth Poem by Shewritespoems :)

Dancing In The Rain Of Youth

The world comes poring down,

A pitter-patter after another.

The trunk's soaked,

The leaves do their happy dance

The wind rustles as it gently flows,

The road grows wet,

Forming puddles.

Splash, splash, she bounds,

From one puddle to another,

The found of laughter from her lover left behind.

Come along,

Let's play!

We are young!

Oh, we are young.

With your eyes alight,

And our smiles broad.

So come, my love,

Play with me now.

Let's jump into puddles,

And stare into each other's eyes as we dance.

One day we will get old,

Not wrinkly and gray,

But it will feel as if we were.

The earth will seem dull and gray,

The whistling of the wind will sound annoying,

And the rain will become an inconvenience.

As we will stare out the window,

Bitter and angry,

Wishing to go out and play,

But never getting up.

So come, my love,

Let's play now,

Let's play and live,

Before I became a granny with a bitter life,

And a heavy heart.
