Daniel Prays Poem by Doris Clore Demaree

Daniel Prays

Daniel loved God.
Three times each day
He talked to God.
No matter what he was doing
When the time for prayer came
He stopped his work
And knelt before his window.
'O God, you are very great,'
He prayed.
'Be kind to me,
Your servant, Daniel.'
Every day he prayed
While his enemies
Watched and waited
To find some fault in him.
