Daniela’s Void Poem by Adeosun Olamide

Daniela’s Void

Garment dancing tune the breeze
Feet dabbling shallow water sands
Onwards, threads path unknown heeding unheard calls from oceans
Given journey, the pathway to insanity

Upon unbraided head, rain memories,
Rode him, rode him, through bush, through storms,
Rode him, through desert, through valley, rode him towards her
With the moon his leading light, he came riding into death arms

Found him, among her dreams,
With blood his head bath
Sometimes to hurt, often to remind
And now to invite her drowned mind,

Breeze me, her side in hides
Bidding thoughts nigh
Rides she towards tides, in seek fides (The goddess of Loyalty)
To help awake her from reality, haunting reality

Bound by fate trap, I follow,
In seek a mistress, follows my heart
Finding death in distance jewel
Retire my soul to another

Oh destiny, what whip have you?
Causing heart to bleed, to weep in gentle strokes
And yet, your vow of suffering innocents
For, till now, her heart broken, her spirit torn, her mind stolen

All errors made of love, to her bark and bit her back
For only, her wish be a stitched heart
Her need a darling
And her fall, love

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
In narrows, she be, muttering unknowns, her bangles be chains, her necklace be shackles and her hair unkempt, often she remembers to laugh as she weeps, her fault, a white lie on a cold night. The invite to stroke, to caress brought her man running, in thought to her arms, but came death hiding by the path, steered him into deaths grasp’ for this [blame she put upon self, the burden of a murderer, his passing], shattered by memories, torn mind, she died within, leaving her body empty.
