Dark Child Poem by Katheryn Foley

Dark Child

I always knew from the beginning,
That I was a child of darkness,
Loving the feeling when I bleed,
No child of light would compare,

Always doing a dirty deed,
Mother said I was the bad seed,
Growing up to live for nothing,
But crime and shame,
Wasting away their lives with blame,

Scary thoughts fill my mind,
Nightmares which have driven me blind,
Ghosts who whisper in the night,
Tell me tales of bitter fright,

Taking the knife slaying the truth,
Nobody will listen its just no use,
An alien to this world I'll step aside,
And use this knife to end my life.
