Could never leave the house without a smile
With it she could run for miles
But the dark cloud came along
Singing a sorrowful song
Slowly seeping into her bones
Filling her chest with stones
Her smile was nowhere to be found
And joy seldom made a sound
The dewy mornings felt dry
And the loneliness off the night was sly
Her cheeks no longer carried residual laughs
Her life was just a bunch of incomplete halves
