Dark Lover Poem by James Sanderson

Dark Lover

You stood
vulnerable and alone
in the darkness' tight embrace.
It wrapped its arms around you
pressed kisses down your neck
and wiped away your tears.

You let it consume you,

but you were afraid.
you opened the door
and let the soft orange lights
destroy your lover.
