Dark Territory: A Fight Against Shadows Poem by Engin Kavrak

Dark Territory: A Fight Against Shadows

Rain thin minty arouse
Spin to fall into rough
Liquid shake of glupy tough
Light the sight on a brilliant thunderstrike
What is behind cannot be on count
Lightning bird on the flight
Tinder and flint on the slight
Mass bless of a thundery perception
Wide chest of bloody hearts in acception
Wide mass of a watery whirl
Spin in rise to tap in to furl
Dip into mud spill and unfurl
What is afore within my blur

Light and fuel my manly deal
Thus my legs and arms I can heal
Thus the earth and rains I can feel
My sins are ahead but thin
My glory in your abundance grim
Your rain melts my mundane trim
I shout with the thunder to glorify
Sentence in its own coil of death
I admit my presence and life defy
Self turning salvation I hate
On your tender embrace I rely
Doom my slick shadowy fate
In my rebellion on your love
Of my security of your sight
On the scales of justice I rate
Fathom my wisdom anew of countless reliances
Thus desperate my scale whimly my whip
Shall fade by your divine grip

Then stretch me above your hills
Give me my waterskin rainbows fills
Greets and waves of my worldly deals
Recount my wisdom again and again

Recast me with a shadow that is bound
Desperate cries of heroic sounds
Tear off fears loud
Tend my wounds again and again

As monsters come close by
My lips shake on my past lie
But my heart in truth strike high
Calm my wrath again and again

Of thundery gazes of divine
Of my disambiguative crime
On my feets most absolute line
Take me to your side again
