Dark Thoughts Poem by Kalli Crowell

Dark Thoughts

Nobody seems to care
No one is ever there
I want to be free now
But I don't know how
How to break away
Need to survive today
Welcome death
My last, dying breath
Chains fall away now
The sweat on my brow
Dripping down my face
At a steady pace
Can't take it much longer
Pain made me stronger
Cut my arm deep
Unable to sleep
Dark thoughts here
They won't disappear
