Darkened Symphony Poem by Alex McCullough

Darkened Symphony

Cyclones of doubts and uncertainty,
Constantly closing in on me,
Continue to spin,
As they combat my new way of life.
Take one, Just one, You'll only need one,
The memories in your past,
Their shining light will break through your night,
Shimmering like a constellation of radiance.
Now blowing by,
The scattered tears of regrets and loses,
Rain down repeatedly upon me,
Like a downpour you just can't escape.
A me within,
Hangs its head with heartaches,
While my other self,
Raises a smile,
Built on endless deceit.
Charging, Raging, Rampaging,
Roars a Darkened Symphony,
To gather up all of these feelings,
And reclaim what we once held inside.
A callback into the distance,
Which faded so far away,
Changing into a goodbye,
Might just hold that dropp of hope,
We've been searchin for.
