The stage was set
The birthday boy was happy,
All the arrangements were met
And he in kurtas was looking snappy.
It was half past eight
More and more guests came in,
They danced, sang and ate
In that dim light within.
The boy was waiting
For his sister to come,
She left him saying
Will be back with cake of rum.
It was a busy day at work
So she couldn’t buy the gift,
She was indeed a berk
Getting late, asked for a lift.
A stranger in his prime
Agreed to help her out,
He was in to do a crime
But the girl had no such doubt.
There was darkness outside
She hurried, for she had the clue,
There was darkness inside
Which every second did grew.
The stranger drove, the highway fast
The girl unaware, his malicious intent,
The guests waiting for a blast
The brother’s patience, beyond extent.
Her home was not that far
She became suspicious,
She decided to jump off the car
But what if the stranger isn’t vicious.
So, she let the doors free
The stranger stopped the car,
Seeing the passer-bys, she did plea
But the stranger was a czar.
She ran and ran and ran
The stranger behind her,
There in the house the party began
But unhappy was the monsieur.
She was caught in the web
Her parched lips wanted to scream,
She tried to break the web
But she lost her esteem.
The monster forced him on her
Stripped her down to her soul,
The stage around her, blur
The monster did the evil role.
The animal did not release
Till his prey lost her virginity,
Her pain did increase and increase
Soon it was no less than infinity.
For him she was yet another
She was hurt, she was bleeding,
He didn’t even look at her, rather
He left her pleading.
There were scars, she couldn’t erase
In her legs, in her hands,
In her mind, in her face
In her soul, in her tear glands.
“How will I face my mother?
How will I face my father?
And how will I face my little brother?
How will I face every other? ”
The animal was fed with stover
The clock struck one,
The birthday was over
The party was done.
The guests had gone
Unaware of all the wrong,
The boy sat in the lawn
Waiting for his sister for long.
He saw the stars
In the darkness of the sky,
But couldn’t think of the scars
In the darkness of life.
Disheartened, he went inside
Thinking of a promise, she didn’t keep
He cried and cried and cried
And then he fell fast asleep.
The sister struggled all her way
The incident fresh in her memory,
A new day had come
But will she escape the possible jeopardy?
Nobody to hear her distress
Nobody to hear her cries of misery,
Her wounds, nobody to caress
And nobody to cure her injury.
She entered the house
She decided to hide her scars,
The questions that will arouse
If they know of her marks.
She decided to be bold and strong
She decided to move on,
She decided to hide her agony for long
So that she doesn’t become a burden upon.
As all other day, sun rose
The boy did forgive his sister,
The path which the sister chose
Was to drink the blood of that stripper.
