Darkness Prevails Poem by Ninja Soul

No light,
not even a glow.
I'm sitting here in darkness.
I want out,
can't find my way.
I'm lost.
I'm losing my senses.
I'm fading into black.
I don't know what to do.
I need help,
I need a place,
to find safety.
I'm alone,
nobody here,
to help me,
to hold me.
Darkness has prevailed again.
It's tearing me apart.
Breaking me inside.
It's darkening my soul.
Turning my heart into dust.
What do I do to fight it? ?
Or do I just give up? ?
No, I won't let myself give up.
Though I know,
I won't win,
cuz darkness has prevailed,
like it always does.
