Darling Poem by Alexander Foald

Darling

Darling of my heart, passion of my soul
Like a breeze in summer night, that blows in autumn
You’re a part of my life that resides within me
You change me into someone I need to be

You are the mirror I look into
You’re the reflection of my shadow
You are my hands carrying my burden
You are my feet walking me to heaven

People might see you different
I just know you better than them
People might think you’re weird
I just love the way you make me feel great

I found you when I hardly could see myself
I’ve known you for a long time now it’s hard to forget
And of all the wishes I wish they could happen to me,
You’re the only thing I wish could never happen to anybody
