Daruwalla Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Daruwalla

Derived it from the map-maker,
The scarecrow,
Sultry winter,
The keeper of the dead,
Rivers in spate,
Flooded countryside
Marooned and reeling under,
Patients taken on rope-strung bamboo cots,
Cholera, T.B. wards,
Persia and beyond.
