Daughters Wedding Poem by Timothy David

Daughters Wedding

To my darling daughter
On your special day
I always knew I'd shed a tear
When I had to give you away

Memories of holding you
Oh so very tight
Waking up to comfort you
In the middle of the night

I've watched you grow
Into a beautiful young lady
Watched you raise your own
Two little babies

I'm very proud of you my dear

I love to see you so happy
With this young man that you've married
I love you my sweet daughter
I hope you never forget

You will always be my sunshine
Although I've given you away
A fathers love I something
That will never fade away

It's hard for me to let you go
But it's something I must do
Now that You've found a man
Who I can trust to cherish you

I've watched you grow
Into a beautiful young lady
Watched you raise your own
Two little babies

I'm very proud of you my dear

I love to see you so happy
With this young man you've married
I love you my sweet daughter
I hope you don't forget

I love you my sweet daughter
I know you won't forget
