David Poem by Jamie Dewyer

David

these bells toll deep, hushed still, the minds a waste
overt and cognitive only to be disgraced
your laugh, your fathers laugh
your faint attempt to pass
eager so sick it hurts
chew on my chemicals

these bells toll dead, this grave is not erronous
guilty still i have most certainly deserved her
with wings wet, still glistening
morbid and still in dream
the height of betrayal the dragons wing stiffened

relax, it is only i
in-tune and detuned and i
always fear for the herd
calcium vision blurred

its sad, it really is
how much we gave of him
don't cry, the way it is
animals always
pay with their lives
pay with their lives
pay with their eyes
pave wet with lies
