Dawn, A Fine Rain Poem by Peter Le Baige

Dawn, A Fine Rain

dawn a fine
rain across
the valley
in streetlights
fixed as if
on seams of
coal in a
miner's dream
everything
brought
to the surface
in rain
the valley
crackling with
birdsong
jasmine flowers
shining in the
ample wet
on scoria.
