Day By Day Poem by Alfred Ramos

Day By Day

Day by day
The music fades away
It would be okay
If the sun didn‘t hide away
When love is lost
No matter what the cost
You have to put your boots back on
And rise to meet another dawn
As the darkness fades away
Day by day
Life whittles itself away
And that would be okay
Cause what is left you got to play
When the wind howls to no end
And time is your only friend
You have got to find the strength
Go to any length
To make it through another day
Day by day
One more debt to repay
And that would be okay
Cause it don’t hurt to pray
And when our backs are against the wall
You have to stand strong and tall
And sure sometimes you’re going fall
That is why we all learn to crawl
Then we stand and sashay away
