Day Dreamer Poem by shuvadeep kumar

Day Dreamer

In the evening of a scorch morning
I was divided into two
I felt excruciating waking up
But, someone inside me persuaded me to wake.
I had to catch the train to the airport
To catch the flight to fly up in air

In a moment, I strode in the congested platform
Gazing in dismay as the train departed whistling
I ran, as fast I can …
My heart pouncing, my skin burning,
Suddenly rain came
Immersed into the colorful drip of joy & love
Oozing from my prolonged slept core
I realized, I was so thirsty
I took the shower while the train left
I grinned to the weaving passengers

I came back to the home..
To envision the dazzling me
In the mirror of strangling fantasy
I wish I could restrain forever like a twig
Growing up between two endearing leaf
Being protected from harsh reality….
Remaining forever in the hallucination

But there is hunger, society dropping us to world
Do not wake me up before I split
I have lots to dream, before I wake…..

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

It is a poem about the people who love to have high ambitions. But in spite of having potential they never reach their destiny, because in the midway they become lazy...they discover it is always easy to dream rather to achieve....So they return to their kingdom of dream where they dominate.
