Day From Moonbeam Day Poem by Richard A. Wall

Day From Moonbeam Day

Awake gently my love
The brassie herald
Is yet nested
With his mistress the Hen Marriage is a stony road
Through the dark of night
Who wins? Who fails
Pray tell who is right How dreary the mocking bird
That hops from branch to branch
No single song it's own
The weary plumage to enhance Vite Diana graceful and wise
With this feast of Povo
I salute thee
For thy luscious prize The Brassie Herald
Has cased it's horn
and is clucking softly
With his contented Hen
