Day Of Days Poem by B. V. Dahlen

Day Of Days

Was there ever any day like this,
so bright, so clear, so real?
Was there ever any other girl
Who felt just as I feel

Timid yet triumphant
a woman and a child
My emotions all are jumbled
in no way reconciled.

The sunlight strikes my waiting veil.
I start to shake inside,
but then one thought of him, I'm calm.
Today I'll be his bride.
