And after

DAYS AFTER-18

All through your life
You have been sprinting breathlessly
In pursuit of goals set by yourself
Reached many, missed a few
But have these made any difference
To the quality of life you led?

All along
You have been motivating yourself
To remain in the contest
Winning has become so important
You have forgotten the rules of the game

Have you achieved
What you desired
Or your entire life has been
A meaningless pursuit in search of something
Which eluded your grasp?

All these years
Are you at peace with yourself?
Are you satisfied the way you are
Or find yourself sadly lacking
In more than one way?

Now you have all the time in the world
Sit and analyse
What you require from life?
Are you anywhere close to the beauty of life
Or made a total mess of it?
Gather yourself and see
Where you went wrong
And how to make up for the shortfall?
