Days Of Harder Frost Poem by Kevin Patrick

Days Of Harder Frost

Rating: 5.0

If forever is not to be
Let us toast to happy endings
Drink with assurance and measured equanimity

Though our story was far from long
We reached more heights in times of strife
Greater pinnacles then most then if we stood as one

But now we’ve come to the climax
And we embrace without the warmth
Now it’s better to depart, then living on opposite tracks

Pick up our shoes and walk away
Into the rays of morning dew
New adventures waiting, without the taste of grey

Why pine away for what is lost
When you can reach another spring
Nurture blossoms bracing the days of harder frost
