Day In The Life Poem by Kevin Patrick

Day In The Life

Rating: 5.0

Dawn gave birth to myriad rays of hope
Noon left raw sunburns of experience
Dusk set waves of cloudless melancholy
And Night took our dreams all too soon

Into the universe throwing
to the universe returned.
In the wink of an eye
we return to mother sky

Well done! ! ! ! I like the way you described the day and how you made me feel the day's somber passage. I hope it is not in the wink of an eye- -I hope we have many years to delve into life and savor it- -but compared to eternity, it would be gone in a blink of an eye and then we would enjoy eternity and wonder why we clung so tightly to earthy life.

Wonderful write! Loved the first stanza....! With rays of hope, the morn greets us, but the noon leaves sunburns. While dusk covers our life with a shadowy veil, night robs us of all light and hope! A succinct summary of man's life on Earth!

We are thrown into the elements. Elemental creatures that survive. Excellent poem.

An insightful philosophical piece of poetry, well articulated and elegantly brought forth in persuasive poetic expressions with artistic brilliance. A work of an intricate mind. Thanks for sharing, Kelvin. Remain enriched.
