Dead - Poem by jonathan fields

Dead
By: Jonathan fields

Death
It's never fair
Takes you when you don't want to die
Won't take you when you do
Could be painful
Could be painless
Don't always get to choose
The only way you can is if you do it yourself
But that's the easy way out
No one should do it
But they still do
No one can stop them
Only thing they can do is try to help
But that doesn't always work
Truth is no one can truly help you
Only you can help yourself
It could be accepting the help
Could be by doing it yourself
Some people won't get the help
Only sit and let it happen
Death is a big cruel joke
No way to avoid it
Only can play it safe
But that doesn't stop him
He will take you
All you can do is pray
And hope heaven is real
And hope hell is not
