Dead End Poem by Gloraly Gomez

Dead End

</>Nothing is seen but the shadows on this dark street
Nothing is heard but the drumming of their feet
There is nowhere to go and no one to meet
In the dead end of this dark, lonely street

There is no one to talk to and no one to hear
There is nowhere to run to when you feel fear
In the day it is quiet and when the night is here
Nothing is louder than the screams they can't hear

It's a dark, lonely street with a single dead end
Where there's nothing to borrow and nothing to lend
Where there's not even a broken heart to mend
All you'll see are the shadows that won't leave this dead end...
