Dead Leaves - Poem by Brent Henry

Sometimes
Deep down
There is pain inside me. I thought
A rose
Would bridge the gap to eternity. The leaves
Are brown
Dying; You left me waiting for you. I'm down
Cold ground
Warm blood; Don't know what I'm gonna do.
