Dead Man's Hand Poem by Jeremy Casper

Dead Man's Hand

In a visual context,
We take the stars
And throw them onwards.
They are stuck before the sky
Contained in eyes of solace.
Where they form together,
On the wake of a soul,
Leaves one's breath in the galaxies.
It takes the mind to reconcile,
For it be not just the thoughts
Which has won his will,
But nature's beauty
Surrendering onto him meaning.
