Deal With The Devil - Poem by Robbie Hunt

My love is great
My love is pure
You are doctor
You are my cure.

For me to hurt you
In any given way
I could not live with myself
Because I would be full of hate.

When we first met
I made a deal with the devil;
If I were to ever hurt you
He would take my life.

I sold my soul
To ensure your happiness
And now all I wish
Is that in this world there was just us.

I do this not only for me
I do it for you
I do it to show that my love for you
Is nothing but true.
