Dear Friend... Poem by Dev Robinson

Dear Friend...

At night I lie awake thinking about the day you stole
And left my heart with a hole

You stole the one thing a young girl can have
Trust and innocence, so I want it back

Because of you I will never trust a man
And any relationship I have I won't quite understand

Ever since that day I've built a wall a million feet tall
Hoping that I will fall

Fall into an eternity of sleep
Oh how the pain is so deep

Sometimes I break down and cry
As I curl up in a ball wanting to die
