Dear Friend Love Jesus - Poem by Stacey Leon Rucker

Dear Friend, I'd rather be a man and come to you
In the most humble way
And walk with you closer than a brother
In the cool of the day,
I'd rather be your curse upon the Tree
To remit your sin and shame
And die your death and descend below
To free you from the same,
I'd rather live again and ascend above
To send you the Promised One
And reveal My knowledge of eternal life
To show you the Holy One,
I'd rather come for you in all God's glory
To take you to My throne
And have you with Me again in Paradise
Than to live in Heaven alone. Love, Jesus
